Hello everyone, im new to here, kind of came across this place by accident and I feel out of my depth a bit.
A year ago I moved house and it turned out powergen had not read my meter in a while, so the outstanding bill was £501! I agreed to pay powergen back at £50 per month via direct debit. There is only £51 outstanding on the account now.
Last week I started getting calls from this 0161 number, which, after googling it ive found out its robinsons way. Yesterday I answered a call from them and they would not tell me what the call is about unless I could confirm to them some information about me, which they had on screen, so they could confirm that it is me that they are actually speaking to???? I refused to do this and said to contact me in writing.
Today I got a letter from robinsons way saying that I have an outstanding debt from powergen for £101.57. RE Formal Demand For Debt. Why are robinsons way even getting involved, The account is clear next month, how can I make them leave me alone? Their "butch" call centre ladies are not very nice.
As far as I am aware, my debt is between powergen and me, and is paid off within the next 30days, why are these idiots even involved

Also my credit rating is good, will this affect it at all?
Thanks,
Gemma
