OK to cut a long story short here. We moved into this new house in Aug 06 and have been with Atlantic (southern gas and leccy) since then + 6 months prior to moving out old house.

In old house when we moved, they (BG) wouldn't let us move because we had money outstanding. Paid that and moved over to Atlantic. Got final bill from BG and paid it. Heard nothing until now... yes almost a yr later.

Well BG are now claiming that I owe them £77 and I'm pretty damn sure that I don't, however I can't go that far back on my bank account online statements and we then had 2 accounts (one of which is closed) so wasn't sure which would of paid out from and no statements.

Which template would I write to these leaches saying I don't owe their money and they can go back to the other t*ssers and send me hard proof out. I won't be paying nothing unless its been proven I do, and even then they can have a minimal payment

Probably the cheapest way would br to Subject Access Request BG - to see what you have paid and been billed for.
