jojo1974 Basic Account Customer Watch out, there are Claims Touts about! Challenge your credit file? Join Date: Mar 2007 Posts: 71	Advice Needed British Gas My Mum needed her gas meter moved due to having alterations done onthe house. It had to be done by British Gas. On 31st May 07 she paid a total of £550.42 to have this done and was told it could be 8 weeks before it would be done. She was given today as the day it would be done and they turned up and moved it. Great!! Problem!! is they have dug up all her path around back of house for the new gas pipes. Which they have just left dug up and said it could be up to 5 days before they come back to fill back in!!!!! And also the metre is now in the new place and connected but they havent reconneted the gas supply. They have said that she has to get a plumber herself to do this, which will be an extra charge. So now has been left since 3pm this afternoon with no gas!!!! She wasnt told this when she called them to arrange for the metre moved. If she had we could have got it arranged before hand. Is there any thing we can do or are British gas within there rights
