| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Replacement phone not of equivalent value Your post from last week stated a P910i which has been obsolete for about a year. Now you are saying it was a P990 (Current Phone), which if a fault developed SonyEricsson would repair.
If you have said that you don't want that phone back, but would like to choose a different model, then that it what they have offered. ##If it was me i would choose a Nokia N73 or SPVM500, but they currently have on the website the SMVM700, which is as near to the P990 as you can get. Orange Mobile Phones - Orange SPVM700 Black Mobile Phone on Dolphin 35 (18 months) with 9 Months Half Price Line Rental
Why is this not on the list available to you?
PS: This company is owned by Carphone Warehouse.....
Your post from last week:
Hello, please can you advise me because I'm feeling helpless... I bought a SE P910i in December last year. After it arrived it developed a charging problem after a week or so. I sent it back, but there was some sort of confusion and they returned the same phone! So got that sorted out and they agreed I should send it back again and they would replace it. Since then - no phone! I've been calling and calling them (spent over £20 on their call centre now) but always it the story that they're waiting for management to decide the case or something like that. Last time I called about 3 weeks ago they said the P910i was obsolete now so they would offer me a list of replacement phones. Since then - silence.
I'm really sick of the whole matter. For the last 5 months I've been using an old phone of my brother's which is a nightmare to keep charged. What I'd like to do is just cancel my contract with Orange (I've been paying £30 a month on contract all this time) and start again with any other company but 1Stop... |

Frankly the N95 is probably a higher spec phone than the one being replaced and is the phone everyone wants at the moment. They were unlikely to offer that to you for free though it may be worth a look dependant on what the additional cost is.
Admittedly some of the phones on that list are a bit of an insult but there are some decent ones as well.
As someone else said I'd be looking at an SPV if I were you. I was the owner of one of the original SPV's and liked it and believe they have come a long way since then as well.
Failing that, the N73 I've heard very good things about and is a s60 nokia phone so will have some smart phone capabilities. Or moving away from smart phones you cant go wrong with the K800i which is also on the list
