Hi guys,
I got my new BT bill yesterday and on it is a reconnection charge of £20.00 !
Apparently I was late paying my bill in march and they disconnected it. Would have been nice to know that. sounds strange, but I hardly use the land line as both my wife and I get free minutes on the mobiles so we use them. We only have a BT line for Broadband.
Is this allowed if they haven't notified me that they were disconnecting it? I've rang them up about it, but get fobbed off by 'you were late paying, so it was disconnected' !
Saying that, as I pointed out to the lad on the other end ( he was scottish by the way), If i had been disconnected then surely my broadband would have been cut off as well? to which i was told it had 'outgoing calls barred' ?
Does this mean they can still try to charge me £20 for just barring outgoing calls?
Any help would be much appreciated.
