insurance scam - Help

Could anyone please advise me as to where I stand with this situation. I started my phone contract in 2001 with phones 4 U, side by side I started the insurance through them also. July 2005 my contract got switched to Vodaphone by phones 4, I started a new contract with them and a new insurance contract. To my disbelief whilst checking my statements for my bank charges case (me 1 barclays 0) they were still charging me for the first insurance polisy!! so in a nutshell I have been paying for insurance for two years that I didn't need to, please help as I want my money back any advice anyone????

For 2 years you didnt notice the direct debit or standing order going out of your bank? :o you must be loaded not to notice. i was under the understanding that any insurance is re-newed every 12 months, and that you would have been sent renewal details etc, or was it a continous policy? think you might have to contact phones for you and seek as to why there have continued taking for a policy that you no longer needed, or was it signed for a minium period like some companies seek, sure another member can give more info to assist.

Well, unless you asked them to cancel your insurance policy, you were still insuring your old phone. The fact that you weren't using it and didn't want it is largely irrelevant. I doubt you have a leg to stand on, it sounds like your mistake.
