Default T-Mobile Contract - No service?

Help!!

I've got a t-mobile contract and phone and been very happy. Due to a change of job I am working 5 miles down the road (still in a major city) but get little or no signal (will spend about 60% of the day out of range).

I called t-mobile who told me that if i wanted to cancel the contract I would need to pay the outstanding amount until the end of the contract, and the only way of minimising the cost would be to go down to the lowest tariff and then cancel.

Any advice? They are not providing a service in my work place (no probs with O2, Voda, Orange) and yet i still end up paying for the full term of a service i cannot access.

Try putting the postcode of the place of work into their "Streetcheck" system (should be on the website) just to see what it says about coverage.

If they claim good coverage on that software, presumably they have temporary issues which you can raise as a fault...

If they claim bad coverage, I'm afraid there isn't much you can do except wait for them to put a mast up - but Bristol is "Orange Country"...

Have to agree, actually you'll see your contract doesn't even allow you to get out if they cannot provide service... In my case I have great coverage on Orange until the building they had their mas on was demolished. The replacement BTS doesn't do anything for me, and I only get service upstairs, and it's no service down. Orange tell me they have 'no money' to build and infill mast for the 9 houses affected.

If you had done a street check at point of purchase either on the website or in store and then the coverage had not lived up to the street check you may have been able to get out (if it was within 14 days)

However if you didn't do a street check then the others are quite correct in that you are pretty much stuck with it

As the OP noted, it worked fine at his original location, the problem only arose after he switched employers and his new location is not well served.
