Re: O2 Defult on my credit file without being chased OK, you got the default because you did not complete the contract as agreed. Within 4 weeks of missing a payment, the phone would be barred and if nothing more was heard, a final bill would be calculated up to when your contract could have ended (usually on the 1st anniversary, but sometimes pushed to 13 months. This 'final' bill has to be paid within a few week, and if not is automatically passed to a DCA. In the meantime, the network has already marked your credit file as owing the debt. Even if you pay it, this will not change, switching from unpaid to 'satisfied'. This will say for 6 years from the date of original entry, it will not restart for 6 years if you pay it.
The additional fees you see will be those applied by the DCA to call you to book, if you have not received the invoices from the mobile network, then you can ask for copies but it would be expected that you would immediately clear the amount due.
If you cannot identify the contract or mobile number you might have a problem, but the DCA might be able to tell you this. If you have no details for them Experian can tell you who to contact (and who placed the default on your account) to allow you to pursue the matter.
