Default Talk Talk URGH!!

Hi,
Has anyone else out there had problems with talk talk??
My parents signed up for their phone & broadband, they haven't had broadband for over 2mnths now, it just went off, my parents have called, I have called their so called customerservice/technical help that no absolutely nothing, they promise to call back, but never do.
They tried to blame BT saying it was a fault on their line, BT say this isn't so, I have asked why it was working fine & then nothing, they now tell us it is from a company they use called OPEL, has any one else had any bad experiences.
Not sure how to proceed??

Opal Telecom is part of the Carphone Warehouse and provides services to the other Talk Talk Group companies.

Must admit that after 2 months of repeated phone calls, Talk Talk broken promises and no action, paying dial up access charges of more than £20 per month (in addition to the all inclusive £20 for phone and broadband) and I still have no broadband, have today sent them a letter that I intend to sue them in the courts.

Will see if this does anything. If not it is quite easy and cheap to get a writ issued in the small claims court. That should get their attention, (and if I can manage it a lot of publicity), and if more people did it to force them to provide the service Talk Talk are being paid for, it may concentrate their minds to either stop signing new customers while they resolve the problems, or devote more resources to clearing the problems.

Threatening them with legal action in an official type language seems to have got their attention. Now connected to broadband, and refund of all dial up charges on its way.

Seems to be OK now connected.

The only problem is now I'm suffering from the Gates Tax and my PC refuses to connect me to Talk Talk email, although can surf the net.

Well you can't have everything.

Being a IT techie, i cant even begin to tell you the problems i have encountered with some of my customers who use talk talk.

A brief summary. One customers bb speed was supposed to be at 4mb, and was slowly slowing down, to at one point, being just over 128k. After ringing tt cs on their behalf, im told, its a problem with the pc, and to take it to a repair shop. Telling them, that it isnt the pc at fault, and that ive done a number of speed checks over the past 4 months, it is a fault of tt, suddenly their speed went back to normal. This same customer, has had major connection problems via their router. Again tt say its the pc at fault, and after being on the phone yet again, it suddenly appears to go online again. This after being offline for around 3 days.

Another customer who has tt, has never been able to access email via outlook, and has to use webmail.

The list goes on and on. I'm always asked whose the best ISP, and to date i say pipex. Not that im plugging them in any way shape or form. Its a case of each to their own, but when im told by a customer im changing isp's, and thinking of going to tt, i threaten them by saying, if you go with tt, i will personally do time for murder of you, as i detest them that much. This gets through to them, and they change their minds..

Just a slight inset as to how the trained monkeys never know what they are doing, and are only reading scripts off their screens. 9/10 have no technical training what so ever, so please be warned..

Right, im off my soap box now lol

have a great day everyone
be safe
