Default Broadband problem

Hi can anyone help i took on a Broadband account 10 months ago with bulldog.I set the payement up as a direct debit all went well for six months till pipex took Bulldog over and they lost my Bank details and failed to take my payement.
They emailed me telling me this and asked me to make payement by card which i did
they told me verbally on the phone that if i gave them my bank details again they would reset the DD and all future payements would be taken
the following three months they sent a bill and marked on it they would take the payement by DD but failed to do this i phoned them and notified them and made this payement by Debit card
they have now contacted Experian and told them i was up to three months late with my payement and have marked my credit file with this information.
I have spoken to Customer services and have made a complaint and today they have sent me a Email saying the whole thing was my fault and they will not alter my Credit reference file any suggestions would be helpfull.

You've asked and they refused.

Send them a Letter Before Action, statring you will not tolerate your credit record being blighted because of their errors, and having the temerity to report it to a CRA because THEY continually lost your details.

The action will be for the remoival of the erroneous information and, say £50 to cover your expenses in calling for credit reports to check your credit status is corrected.

That might make them take you seriously!
