Default Orange Broadband

Phoned Orange on the 7th December to cancel my broadband as I was moving on the 15th. Sorted so I thought.....
December 28th i get an email, we can't collect your DD blah blah. £5 late fee added to bill.
Phoned explained previous conversation , have no record of my previous conversation but they would close the account.
Get another email about a week later," we need to talk to you etc" phoned again and told account was still open,sais I would not be paying
" if you don't pay we'll take legal action" was the response.
Wrote a letter to the exec office, yet to receive a response.
Get another email end of Jan "we can't take your payment you are now 2 month in arrears and another late fee" I emailed them again, stated i am still awaiting a response to my letter and what is it they don't understand about the previous emails saying I dont want the broad band anymore?

Does anyone have another address because this is driving me bonkers!

The problem is you are required to terminate in writing, as it saves much grief later when a telephone request received the result you're now experiencing. You may have to bite the bullet if you cannot otherwise prove you gave instructions to cancel. Wtiye to the address on your bill, stating that you advised on XX/XX/XX that your service was to be cancelled from XX/XX/XX. if you send THIS by RD post, you can then rely on it to pursue the cancellation - or if they refuse to accept the first date, there is at least a letter informing them of your notice to quit.
