Hi,

NEWBIE HERE, JUST WANTED ANYONES FEEDBACK ON THE DATE FOR WHEN THAT NEW FREE 118 COMPANY STARTS ? I PAID MY POUND OVER THE PHONE HAVING SEEN THE AD IN MY LOCAL PAPER AND NOW APPARENTLY I GET UNLIMITED CALLS TO THE 118 SERVICE, ANY ONE KNOW WHEN THEY KICK OFF ?

How can it be 'free' if you have to pay £1? The forum has already had posting on this Free DQ service, and it's variable quality and the fact you have to listen to a message from the 'Sponsor Of The Day'. I'd ask for your money back!

Don't understand. If a telephone number is valid, your phone will dial it. Unlocking is only a process used to restrict mobiles from having their SIM cards changed.

The system is set up so that the software in the call centre recognises your number after it is activated, i think the pound is just to subsidise the costs of your calls for a year.

Clearly this will be on a 01 or 02 telephone number? Or do you actually have to call the call centre on an 118 number...? (This would somehow defeat the benefit of 'free' access).
