t mobile flext 18 month contract !!

hey everyone well i have just found out that i "owe " t mobile 500 for a flext contract i took out over the phone last september ! ia sked if i could pay the amount owed upto this month and then cancle but they say no pay us all of teh 18 months AND you have no phone

Has the phone been lost/stolen?

I can understand them saying that the contract must be paid in full, but I don't understand why you don't have the phone.

Could you pay what you owe to date and then pay the rest monthly to make it easier?

T-Mobile's standard contracts have been 18 months since last August, unless you askerd for a shorter term. You're committed to this period, but the phone you received will remain your property, and providing you make the agreed payments and conclude it by making the final 18 monthly payment, you can cancel or continue as you wish. If you want to get out of the contract before the relevant time period concludes, you can transfer the contract to someone else (family member?) and they can benefit from the deal you negotiated.
