Default Talk talk hell

Just cancelled my contract with Talk talk last week, advisor did not say anything about cancellation fee or anything whatsoever.

Now received a letter saying that if there is any outstanding money due to contract they will bill me for it etc...

I took an 18 month contract with them after being with them for approx 6 months last summer.

It was all done over the phone I didnt sign anything.

As most people probably know they are an absolute disgrace, lack of net connection all the time. Not connecting at all, all sorts of problems as it has been for the many thousands of others in the sam boat.

Does anyone know what they will try and do now..?

I didnt mention the 18 month thing on the phone as I just told the guy i wanted out due to poor service. he made no mention whatsoever to the supposed contract.

Does anyone else have any crazy experiences to sahre with me about these fools..?

You would need to check but I remember reading somewhere that you are entitled to end your contract if they are not providing the service you signed up for. I believe it was an issue of a magazine called computeractive
