I know it's unlikely but if you have the text message on your phone still it would be useful.
Also they may have placed a default on your credit file. Worth checking and if its there insist on its removal. Remember to reclaim your bank charges too
Browsing through the orange site the only relevent £40 contract I could find said this: Quote: - unlimited Orange evening and weekend minutes

- 660 minutes - 60 more than our same high street plan

- 3G exclusive: your choice of TV content pack for two months - there are 3 to choose from and we think you'll love our Music TV pack

| | Classic Account Customer | Re: NCO europe and Orange I have a debt with Orange that is being chsed up by NCO, dont worry about contacting NCO, they will start contacting you very soon!!!!!
I agree with the above thread, take action against Orange, for incorrect information that has cost you dearly. In the first instance, if you do make contact with NCO, advise the account is in dispute and you will not be paying whilst it is in dispute.
I have just written to NCO informing them that they have contacted me twice in the past month, harassing me, threatening me and talking crap about taking legal action and coming to my home. NCO employ half-wits they dont care their only intent is to cause you undue stress and alarm and pay the money.
I would refuse to communicate with NCO, advise Orange that the debt is with them, and you will only deal with them unless they ahve sold the debt on, and then you want proof of this.
I would have a sympathetic word in you banks ear, obviously in writing, outlining the situation, and asking as a "goodwill gesture" if they will refund your charges!
Down with the NCO Halfwits!!
