Default Not sure where to ask this..T-Mobile...

Wasnt sure where to ask this, have just got off the phone to T-Mobile who inform me that they have barred calls on my phone due to last months bill not going out-they havent bothered to bl**dy let me know till now, and only did that by barrinjg calls and diverting an attemptd call to their operater. It seems the bill went out the day my bank levvied £110 of charges on my account, therefore the only reason bill bounced was the bank. ANyway, aswell as my bank charging me for bouncing the dd (have written and asked for refund it as part of my action-preliminary letter issued on fri) T-Mobile tell me they are charging me £23.50 for the dd bouncing?!!!!! Apparently this is in my contract-my monthly bill is only £15 fgs.. Is this allowed, it seems pretty excessive to me, and had i known they would charge for bounced dd i wudnt have signed up for the sodding contract-this has never been made clear at any point to me..any comments gratefully recieved. Off to try and calm down-i am SICK to death of every bl**dy company in the country charging for any excuse they can extortionate amounts of money..
tia hippy.. (scuttling off to try and calm herself).xxxx

It is exactly the same as the bank charges - claim it back.

Thankyou!! *sighs with relief*, another one to add to the list then.. so wud i just go through the same process as with the bank but change the template letter slightly? I assume it would be a very basic version of the prelimary approach letter..I am assuming it is the same law/regs that this kind of unfair chargeing comes under even tho it is a mobile company and not a bank?? thankyou. x

Exactly the same law - so yes, just reword the letter accordingly.

onelast thing, just wanted to check, i have amended the letter to what i think is ok, in the template there is a paragraph which says

**Additionally it has now been confirmed that your particularly high level of penalties are considered to be unfair per se by the OFT who reported on the 5th April 2006 and are therefore presumed to be unlawful in the absence of specific proof to the contrary.**

does/will this relate to a phone company aswell as the banks?just need to know do i need to remove this?
sorry to be thick.. tiaxxxx

Just to let you know....T-Mobile were the reason I found this site over a year ago.

They had tried to take a DD for a new contract I got. I told them to wait until the end of the month to take payment but they decided not to bother. So when DD failed, they tried to charge me £23.50 and the Bank charged me £30 for something which wasn't my fault.

I complained long & hard with T-Mobile and they removed the charges. The bank didn't though, but thats there own fault though because if they had of refunded it, I wouldn't be standing here today with an offer for the full amount which is now costing them £952.

Don't be bullied or suckered in and write in to complain.

Good luck.
