Angry Wanadoo/Orange - Terrible

Hi all,

Sorry if this is in the wrong place - not sure where to put it, feel free to move it.

After all the agro we had with BT and our broadband last year, we changed to Wanadoo. They have been fine apart from the fact that they can't change the DD date which is a little annoying, but just means that I have to save extra for the end of the month, instead of the beginning when everything else comes out.

Wanadoo have now been taken over by Orange.

Anyway last month's DD failed (oops-only by 2 days) so I've made sure there was enough money in the account for them to take it again, as most companies take it again automatically after 14 days. No, they've not taken it still. I get a letter this morning with no date on it, saying that unless I contact them to make payment my broadband will be switched off on Monday!

I've literally just got off the phone with them and they have already sorted it out, they are taking a double payment next month - so I didnt need to call them at all - it was sent in error.

I've been on the phone for 36 mins, a lot of that on hold. I looked at the call costs and it's 7.5p/min! That call that I didnt NEED to make has just cost me £2.70!

I am furious. Why can't they sort themselves out and why do they charge such high rates for phone calls?!?!

A very annoyed Bev

Oh and while I was there I asked when my broadband speed was going to be upgraded as I got an email (I thought) about 5 months (was actually 10 months) ago saying that it was going up to 8M, and guess what? Everyone else's in my area has been done but I 'must've been left out of the loop' but he's put it through now for me! Oh how very kind of him! GGRRRRRRR
