Default Just checking I can Data Protection Act telewest

I couldnt have done more by limiting my use of telewest to just internet and still they manage to over charge me on my last bill.

I have decided if it is possible to Data Protection Act telewest, but would like some advice on a few things first.

1. will they under the Data Protection Act have send my bills with all call costs showing.
2. If i had talk unlimted at the time can i request that my calls and costs be shown.

The reason I Ask no. 2 is being i always wanted to know if i was making enough calls to warrent the charge of talk unlimited and i was told it was not possible as they are not logged financialy once talk unlimited is activated, so i would like to ask for this now in my Data Protection Act if its possible as i am sure the calls have to still be logged the same way for legal purposes, how can they not be?

3. does anyone know if they charge the £10 for the Data Protection Act

4. Is the late payment charges of £10 acceptable do they ever penalty for anything else as im going to be asking for 6 years. ( my action is for for over charged bills rather than charges but i can seek info on both)

5. IF 4 is applicable then i asume i include the manuel intervention paragraph.

any help on these greatly appreciated.

BL

as far as i can see they must show you what your calls are costing you so that you can make a decision as you say to whether or not its viable to continue you on talk unlimited! i would send it with the £10 fee and see if they send it back!!! keep us posted cos ive just gone to telewest and am interested in the outcome, good luck

Hi Miss Cillit.
I did ask when on talk unlimited, if i could have a totsl of calls made, i was denied and offered my last bill! to compare which was 5 months earlier and i was working so mywhole structure of time and phone usage was different.

They have to be one of the most awkward companies i have ever used. Im sure there bills are set out in such away to make it hard work for you to collate.

I stay only as my internet is £9.99 a month, and i get free TV, or thay would be out of here pronto.

I think i will go for teh lot in my Data Protection Act, no dought they will do a llloyds and say it is not covered but we shall see..
