Default B Blood-e T

Here we go, moving house, been told by bt have to pay the £125 connection fee, agree under protest.
Wait in all day monday, take the day off work, no BT man. call them from my mobile (£1.50 p/m) told i will be called back.
go to work tuesday, spend 1 hour on the phone (at a minimum) to be told my appointment had been changed to wednesday, and BT claim that they text me to inform me of this..no message. Now have to get my phone line installed next monday, as i cant take anymore days off work this week. meanwhile i still have to pay sky for my services i cant recieve because BT are incompetent.

What can i do to get minimum £50 off the £125 (1 days wage approx) as when i complained they told me all they would give me is the standard missed appointment fee of........£10 takes the pss a little dont you think?!

Any suggestions?

Cancel that order and see if they have any connection offers that lock you in to an 18 month term (they normally do and that would save you quite a nice sum of money!) providing you are happy to be locked in to BT for 18 months.

these deals change quaterly and unfortunatly for you, you just missed £99 off (finished at the end of june!) I'll make a few calls and see what new deals are out there. (I used to work there so still have some contacts)

i did ask, and they said there was nothing. do u think its likely that i will get £50 refunded, as they changed my appointment without notifying me and i am now going to have to take 2 days off work, on the hope that the engineer turns up on monday. Also the guy said when an appointment is made, its not guarunteed, so they can change it if they need to, wtf is that about?!?

I don't think they'll alter anything, they are not flexible, I was in the best area for giving deals out when I worked there and it was pretty rigid.

To be honest I'd be very surprized if there wasn't an 18 month connection offer... there always is and it's been getting better and better!

The biggest problem you are going to have it talking to someone authorized to give a better deal than the £10. Like I said I'd be tempted to cancel and get connected with someone else, but that isn't going to help you get your sky stuff as they only deal with BT lines....

how do you like this.....

my BT engineer turned up today, even though i rearranged it to next moonday, so i left my partner with him, and went to work, and called them to say i was cancelling my contract and i didnt want the engineer to come round, so i got a free line connection, so now i will go and tell sky i want my line rental with them me 1 BT 0
