3 are they as good as they claim?

Just signed up for a 3 cotract £18 / month for 500mins/texts 18 months, they guy in the 3 shop assured me that if the 3 signal is not available I would still get a 2G cover via the 02 and/or Orange network, he assured me that I would never be stuck without coverage to at least make calls or text, I thought it seemed a pretty good deal especially as they gave me a Nokia 6500 slide, I was previously with T mobile but had problems when I moved house with poor signal strength (my daughter is on 02 and has no problems). incidentally T mobile offered to give me a new 6500 slide & 300 off peak minutes plus 30 texts/ month for £5 a month all in over a 12 month contract (just to keep my business) seems too good to be true.

Anyone got any comments on 3`s service??

I'm with 3 and never had any major issues with them. In fact when I was going to leave at the end of the last contract, they halved the cost of the same package (had to keep the phone I had though.. no major issue there though as I'm impressed with the SonyEricsson K800i, even though it's ancient now lol).

My signal strength has always been good for calls/texts.. I rarely use 3G (big drain on battery life by the way).

So... all in all, I have no problems with them really. Then again... it's when the problems start that people get pee'd off, and people are having trouble with 3 on here, so...
