MOTOROLA bbad phone - worse service Hi all, I bought a Motorola F1 in June of last year from Dial-a-phone. I had to send it straight back as it wasn't a new one. I had to send the second one back as it was programmed to the wrong airtime supplier. After just a few weeks the quality of the phone began to show through. 1/ It started to lose time,,,, very slowly at first,,, but it added up over the days. 2/ The signal was terrible. As an ex dealer I expected better of an expensive phone of that brand. Back it went again but was returned - as far as I could tell, with nothing done to it. From that day they have ignored all my e-mails as well as a very polite letter to their M.D. In the end I contacted Motorola who very kindly offered to fix it - so away it went to their own repair agency. When I got it back - again, it still lost time & still had terrible signal strength. I wrote to the repair firm & asked for a repair report but was sent a note saying that the software had been updated ?!?! Again, it was a total waste of time & I contacted Motorola again,,,, who now said that: a) going on the numbers on the phone, that it wasn’t meant for the U.K in the first place ! b) the warranty had run out as it was made before the sales date !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She did say that they’d fix it again. Away it went,,, back it came,,,, same old garbage. You may be aware that Dialaphone is part of Carphonewarehouse. I wrote to their M.D about a month ago - & guess what - no reply from them either. I am disabled & have to rely on my mobile when I go out. I go to a clinic where all my phones have had strong signal before, as does all my acquaintances there. I put my SIM into other phones & it’s perfect. If this is todays quality of Motorola phone - I won’t be bothering again. If this is todays service from Motorola themselves - I won’t be bothering again. The unit is just about out of purchase date warranty - can anyone recommend a way forward please ? Thanks for reading this,,,,,,,,,,, |
