Default Cant get rid of 3 Contract

Hey, right now i am on a direct text 1400 contract with three that includes 1000texts 300mins 50 video/mms £5 downloads and 30mb data usage, all for £30...

and i HATE IT!

I am not due for an upgrade untill june of 2009! and my contract ends in September '09

it will cost £400+ to cancel the deal!

I need more mins and more texts and other companys like o2 are giving 600mins and unlimited texts for the same price as i said i cant cancel the contract and they will not give me any other deal apart from ones at £40 with 700mins and 150texts. far too much for too little.

Pleasae guys what can i doo?

Default Re: Cant get rid of 3 Contract

In a word, nothing. When you took out the contract, you agreed that you would take the "Direct Text 1400" package, and everything that it includes. If I remember rightly, Three give you 14 days to cancel, but as you've had it for about 3 months, there isn't very much you can do about it.

Sorry to say, but it was you that chose this package... nobody forced you, and the other mobile firms are always coming up with new packages. If everybody was allowed to chop and change, the networks wouldn't make any money and there wouldn't be a mobile network!

Its a tough lesson to learn, but you really have to research all the packages on offer before you sign up for one, because once you've signed, that's it for 12, 18 or 24 months.

When did you realise that O2 were offering their package? Was it available at the time you took out the 3 contract? You can't hate Three because of your decision. I'm sure that if you took the O2 pacakge a better one would have come along afterwards, and we'd be hearing from somebody called "Ihateo2"...
