Hi there guys, i've been totally stupid and gullable and fallen into the same trap that-as i have now learned-many others have also!!! Straight after coming off the phone with FMS merely 2-3hours ago i ofcourse looked them up on the net,and to my horror ofcourse read threads such as the above and realised i too, was now on the arduous path of being conned! Their timing could not have been better, what with it being the start of the weekend tomorrow, its ofcourse going to make my struggle all the more harder...but im determined to prevail! On the plus side,im aware of my predicament, got the useful info above to work with and because of timing hopefully have a chance of nipping this situation in the bud!!!
For example, i haven't even recieved the phone yet!
ANY help on this matter would be SO appreciated. For a start,it would be brilliant if 'nocash' could send me the final address he used to post the phone back? Should/CAN i refuse delivery of the phone?!?
Also,is it worth me going to the bank and cancelling all incoming charges and the debit card itself i used to make the transaction?
As i mentioned before, its the weekend starting tomorrow, but im still going to try and call all involved promptly in the morning...my current provider who im happy with(Vodaphone),Trading Standards,my bank, and ofcourse Free Mobiles Select(who i've already e-mailed,but i bet was to no avail!). I'll keep you updated on how things go tomorrow morningThanks guys.

Hey guys!(FYI Slick132, ive started this as a new case as per your request, under title FreeMobilesSelct)... Sorry to keep you all in the lurch for a while there, i was just waiting until the end of business hours today to be sure of everything, and it seems as though with all your help; slick, buzby and nac..i've beaten them at their little game!
You were totally right about this company,as when i called up my bank first thing on Sat26th i was told that £25 had been taken out of my account unauthorised by myself by a 'metachar.com'.

Thankfully ,i explained the situation over the phone, and my bank was very understanding going so far as to let me know some of those i was speaking to had had similar happen to them also! After they reversed the unauthorised charge,on their advice I promptly cancelled my card so as to cut all ties to this mess cmpletely.

Next thing i did was call my network providers and let them know i was happy to stay with them and not to make any changes to my account without my authorisation.
Final stage was the call to FMS, who on realising they could no longer obtain any further funds from the now cancelled card didnt give me too much fuss in ending my order with them.

They may still try and deliver the phone (as told by FMS), though if or when this happens i'll have no problems in refusing delivery!

Thanks again for all your help on this guys, was really great to know support was there every step of the way.All in all,a speedy and effective remedy to a potencially sticky situation.
