BT again

I don't know what to do with BT,I called them 3 days ago because I wanted to change a provider for Broadband however to my surprise I was been told im still in contract with BT untill October this year.Which I know is all bull**** becuase have been with BT more than 5 years.

I was been told the contract was renew in October for another year However during this period I was not even in the Country,have been away from April until December.

I know for sure I didn't renew any type of contract but to my surprise when I speak to my wife about this, she told she remember some time in October that BT called the house simply to tell her from that month (October) they are reducing the price plan from £26 to £24 and they didn't mention anything about a new contract whatsoever.

The offer to reduce the monthly amount will have been on the understanding that you agree to a new 12 month contract. I had similar situation as was out of contract and they called offering a discount, after haggling with them for a bigger discount I agreed to it.

OK at least they should let you know is a new contract and secondly the account is on my name not on my wife name. I should be the person they need to talk to not my wife
