Have you contacted BT, they should be able to reconnect the line to BT though you'll have to wait 3 months before you can change supplier again

There was a pretty extensive thread covering a wide range of mercury issues including this one but it seems to have gone walkies

Personally I'd choose BT as they will be the only ones guaranteed to be able to solve any problems you may have getting reconnected. Plus once you have served the 3 months with them you can choose whoever you like (avoiding any companies with mercury in the name)

Whilst run by the same people that isn't actually the company that's been directly providing your phone service.

That would be Mercury Telecom Ltd which is clearly a different company(!)

PLEASE NOTE

Discussions about this company are most welcome and users are encouraged to air their problems in order to ensure they receive the best possible advice from interested parties.

However, accusations of dishonesty, fraud, financial irregularities and indeed ANY other unsubstantiated remarks are most certainly not welcome.

Such posts will be removed and the users placed on a final warning. These comments place the user at great personal risk of legal action and this site too may have to defend itself against such.

Please ensure that your posts remain factual and, where possible, include links to any other publicised information that would confirm such.

Which is fine, but this still does not give any reason to post the remarks you made earlier, which were not substantiated by any of the links you have posted above.

It is for that reason only that the warning above remains.

Actually, this is a link to a commercial website, who resell information available from the 'public' registers. I have no love of these outfits, and note that their part of the Experian group (a highly regarded credit reference agency). Might be better to link to the original source, than a for- profit commercial alternative?
