Angry Mobile phone cashback problems

Hi guys,
would be grateful for some advice on a problem i have with trying to get my cashback on a mobile phone contract.I took out an 18 month half price contract in May last year with 3 network through a company called Talking Minutes offering me free mins plus texts at half price .
I got my statements from 3 for the first 6 months at the half price rate then i had to send paid bills into Talking Minutes every 3 months to claim the half price rebate.
Sent the first set of 3 in March this year nothing came back left 3 messages on their answer machine nothing! phoned up 3 direct was told that it was between me and Talking Minutes to sort out sent another 3 paid statements still nothing got in touch with 3 again and spoke to a supervisor told them i was not very happy to cut a long story short on Tuesday of this week finally got through to Talking Minutes via a conference call with 3 and the guy told me i did not qualify as i had cancelled the insurance last October and that this was stated in the terms and conditions.
I feel realy pi**ed off as to date im owed £210 which they are quiet happy to keep, can anyone help me??
Thanks guys..

I took out a contract with 3 last year and also got one for a friend, this happened through a company called Communication Direct. When i got my first bill it was £45.00 and i decided i didnt want it so i foned up to cancel contract on 14th day of coolin off period. As both fones were still in my name i was paying for the two of them plus my own other mobile which was O2. They wouldnt let me cancel and 3 wouldnt cancel my contract without a de-activation code. This had been goin on since November last year, so in June i wrote a letter to both 3 and communication direct and said that if the matter was not resolved i would be taking legal action. I was refunded £435 into my account and both contracts were cancelled. Just threaten legal action, tell them u will go to watchdog.

From what you say, they insisted that for the cashback deal to be valid, insurance was a requirement of the arrangement. (1) Was this stated on your contract, or made up by them? (2) If it wasn't, then you've a fair chance of challenging them, however if IS stated and you did cancel, you may well find trying to force the issue may not be successful.

Do remember, the whole point of these schemes is to hook customers with the deal, then ensure they minimise claims.

Still looking good then, as if it was a requirement and you're still complying, this won't be a valid reason for rejection... but it may be an uphill struggle.
