They were still working on 20th March as they acknowledged all my re-sent bills! Ha, ha, ha!!
I too am losing the will to live. Unfortunately I was never sent a copy of their T & C's so don't have an address. I know it was Fareham - can someone help there? |

| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Express Mobiles Hi, big gulp after reading all your posts, so sorry to hear there are so many people in this situation. I took out a contract last may 07 with yes-mobiles and each time i came to claim my cashback was told there was some problem or other. Anyway i persevered and eventually got my cheques, it wasn't until the change of name (suspicious i thought) that i have had big problems. My last claim sent on 15/01/08 has not been paid, i have had all the problems everyone else has had with them. Today i contacted consumer Direct who advised me to write to them etc, which i will do stating breach of contract etc. But it's not loooking good. I also contacted Orange my provider the chap i spoke to was very nice and sympathised but not a lot they can do, i was surprised to find my contract was taken out by The Carphone Warehouse (had no idea thought it was yes mobiles) Anyway Orange are going to reduce my call plan but i did have to push 4 this also i have the address for Orange complaints department, i am going to write to them complaining about their business practice of selling my details to third parties etc.
in case anyone wants this address it's :
Correspondence Department
Orange Pcs Plc
Po box 10
Patchway
Bristol
BS32 4BQ
I have no money to go the route of small claims but i will contact/write to anyone else i can find about this.
Also a painful thought but one i considered was ending contract with orange they wanted £250 early termination fee (terrible) but if in the end express are indeed gone for good if it had worked out cheaper to end contract than go on paying £40 a month i would have to have gone down that route.
Sorry for such a long post but thanks for all your comments and info guys, it has been a help to me . I truly didn't realise there were so many people who have been duped by this company. |

Their address is as follows: Express Mobiles, PO Box 582, Fareham, Hampshire PO14 4FQ
I have sent them another e-mail threatening legal action this am which has yet to be delivered or read . I have given them 10 days to cough up and have also sent a letter by recorded delivery.
Good luck! Express Mobiles |

Just to let u know there is still someone there at care@expressmobiles.uk.co m I got an email off of sally this morning saying my cheque will be with me shortly. Have to wait and see on that one, but i have given them 10 days formally by post to send cheque, then it's back to consumer direct if i still have had nothing.
In the mean time Orange did reduce my call plan but only by £5 to £35 a month then it will go down £5 every month until i get to £25 which is the lowest they do. I have gone down the route of complaining to Orange, so i will have to wait and see on that one too.
There is also a forum about express at Money Saving Expert: Consumer Revenge - Credit Cards, Shopping, Bank Charges, Cheap Flights and more
There maybe some additional info on there for people. |

I agree let's all keep posting and it would be great to hear if anyone has been successful. It will cost me £35 for HMCS to submit a claim for £480 but I will do so as we can't let these cowboys get away with it. |
At least your network provider is willing to budge a little more, Orange will only downgrade my contract to 35.00 at present, But I've sent a couple of letters in post to different departments complaining that I hold them part responsible for this mess, after all, express have been lining their pockets for them. Have you contacted Watchdog, if not please do, the more of us that complain the bigger their interest will become, like you say we can't let the cartoon conmen win, I want my money no matter what it takes. |

Hi
I have just left a telephone message with Watchdog today and also e-mailed my story. We need a lot of support for this to create an interest and so anyone else who has not done this please do so!

Hello everyone!! Just a word of warning, my terms and conditions state that it is 9 months before you can approach your network provider for a reduction in tarriff. I don't know if they have changed the conditions, they probably have knowing the way these people are operating. Has anyone got their original copy of the T & C's? If so I would love a copy. I don't know about everyone else here suffering the same treatment, but i would love to see these people on watchdog, hopefully as Manda72 again rightly says we all have to make as much noise as possible. Please, please, please everyone complain to consumer direct, oft, offcom and even watchdog. I'm currently going through the legal route, following advice from consumer direct and then when i get no response ( see the faith i have in them!! ) i'm going all the way to court and i'll see them there.
Take care everyone!! |
