Default jonni2bad v EFH Broadband ***SETTLED IN FULL***

This was once a very good ISP. Cheap deals, true unlimited downloads, always-on service, free telephone support... In fact, everything you might expect from a decent company.

Unfortunately, they were too good and were taken over by a bigger fish - 186k - and they quickly turned a very good service into a bad one - in my opinion, of course

Out went the free support - packed off, I believe, to India. When you could finally get a response, the quality of technical support was abysmal.

The service was constantly dropped and often the technical reply was along the lines of "...there's probably a fault your end..."

Many customers reported, on its own forums, how unhappy they were and that they wanted out. Many of those seemed to have great difficulty in obtaining their MACs, but gladly I got mine quite quickly and off to Sky I went - back in April.

(On a side note, I have been extremely happy with their service so far)

Payments to EFH stopped in April, as they should, but strangely reappeared on my bank statement again in May. I contacted them via email early in June and received the automated response, along with their "ticket" number. A further 7 days and no reply, but an email to inform me that they would be collecting funds again in mid June !!

A second email, along with a warning that authority to collect funds had been revoked, but sadly they couldn't be bothered to reply again. Another payment taken...

LBA went out, not acknowledged - again - although payments out have now ceased.

Court action started yesterday

That was quick enough - received cheque in the post today - settled in full with a very quick apology for any inconvenience caused.

Shame that they couldn't have responded to me about 3 months ago....
