Default Virgin Media Harassment

Hi, I have had on going problems with Virgin. I used to be a customer of NTL, which I cancelled in January 2007.
Ever since, I have repeated bills for £206, charges for ongoing use of cable/phone sevices. I have written and explained, also asking them for a break down in writing of their costs.
Next, they used Moorcroft Debt Recovery to chase the imaginary debt, so I wrote to them explaining the situation. They ignored me and threatened legal proceedings.
A Virgin Rep. dropped a note through my door to say that he wanted to collect the NTL equipment, which is fine - I shall post it off next week to the Reg. address of Virgin with another letter.
I am exhausted of the same old story, and still getting the same bills and letters.
I have explained that if I find a default in my name by them, I shall take them to Court.
How do I find out if they have?? Any advise, most appreciated!!

Wink Re: Virgin Media Harassment

Hi,

Your story sounds very familiar. We have returned this evening from a weekend away to be greeted by a letter from Moorcroft debt recovery requesting immediate payment for a phantom outstanding amount on our expired Virgin Media account. We cancelled and transfered to Sky as soon as Virgin lost Sky one and have had continued harrassment ever since. Taking money via direct debit for services we were not going to recieve and the final straw was a payment that they tried to take for a broadband account we had never setup or requested. (Our bank were able to stop this). We have wrote several lengthy complaint letters over the past six months firstly to NTL and then to Virgin when it transfered to no avail. We always recieve the standard "We'll get right onto it" letter which is absolutly useless.

I will be ringing Moorcroft Debt recovery at 8am tomorrow morning and demanding that this matter is resolved and like yourself will threaten court action should my husbands credit file be affected.

I will post with any further developments and hope you do the same, strength in numbers and all that and informing of each others progress or ideas.

Pam & Phil
