Default beware cash back deals on phones 2u direct

Hi, I have been stung also on a cash back deal. Has anyone had a deal with this company? I took out a 12 mth deal and was supposed to get my cash back when sending my 6th mth 9th mth and 12th mth bill. I sent my 6th mth bill on time and did everything according to their terms @ conditions. 6 weeks later they informed me that they weren't paying me my cash back because I had only sent them 4 pages of my bill instead of 10 pages. NOT SO!! I had sent them everything that 3 had sent me, and if 3 sent me 10 pages then that is what they received. the only thing that I didn't do which I should have was to photocopy the bill when I sent it but I wasn't to know they would come up with a smart idea like this, and I thought that with sending it recorded delivery it was safe enough.I am now in the proccess of filling in a form for the small claims court, can anybody offer any advice on this matter?

I would think it fairer to say that consumers should be wary of ANY cashback deal. If the offer was worth having, you'd get the discount up front. If they're unable to do this - you have to ask yourself why?

Mail-in rebates are extremely common in the US...

And trhey work very well, however don't confuse a one-off rebate with an ongoing scheme that requires considerable levels of participation from the purchaser. In the US, such rebates only require the voucher and purchase receipt. If only UK cashback deals worked this way!

Angry Beware cash back deals on Phones 2u Direct

Please, please, please do NOT buy from this company/site. They promise to refund you the full year's mobile phone line rental on production of various bills throughout the year. My contract specified they would pay the rental back to me in three instalments. Despite observing their onerous terms and conditions to the letter, I have had immense problems. They don't answer e-mails (which is the only way they allow you to query cash back offers) and if you are lucky enough to get one of their customer services people on the phone then expect to be fobbed off with lies and false promises. I was fortunate enough to get my first instalment paid three months after filing the claim and then only after threatening small claims court. For the second and third instalments I have tried desperately to get them to pay to no avail. Consequently, I have now issued proceeding against them in small claims court.

Deal with this company at your own peril. You have been warned!!!
