Response to my query received, and it failed to clarify any points other than confirming that it was sent. Further email sent requesting further clarification, and also addressing my Data Protection concerns.

This is fast degenerating into a farce. I can only make an analogy to poking a stick into a beehive, rather than simply administering antiseptic cream once you have been stung...

Yes - you get stang by a wasp, you administer some Anthisan, the stang gets better, end of story.

Or...you could get mightily cheesed off that the wasp stang you, and you could then decide to go and poke a stick in the wasp's nest, and release hundreds of wasps, and they could all come and stang you from many different, and unexpected directions, and in your haste to run away, and avoid being stanged many times, you keep tripping yourself up...until finally you are covered in a great number of wasp stangs...

Get my drift?

It's stang...believe me...and ask any six-year old whether they were stung or stang...they will respond with the latter...

Acknowledgement papers received from the courts yesterday - and it looks like they have changed feet once more.

Last week I received an unconditional offer of £x, in settlement of my initial deposit, the court costs, and my time to date (that last was the biggest surprise) Being unconditional, I accepted this in part-settlement only...

The acknowledgement papers now have them down as wishing to defend the 'claim in full' rather than 'part of the claim' as the offer would imply. I fail to understand how, after offering and settling part of the claim, they now believe they could defend against what has already been settled...

They are very popular - there must be at least a dozen forums with dedicated threads detailing the warm and cosy relationship between Skillstrain and its students, and how all Skillstrain courses and materials are both relevant and up to date...

For myself, the point of my argument, and my complaint, is that as the contract was lawfully cancelled, then at no time can I ever be considered a 'student' - but they just don't seem capable of understanding this very basic principle...

Nothing new to report at the moment - date of service is deemed as 10 August, which by my reckoning means a defence needs to be submitted by next Sunday (7 Sept) at the latest...

I am looking forward to the post over the next few days with glee...

Defence submitted - defence against the whole claim, not just the contested parts. Quite a lot to read, so will spend a few days doing so...
