Student loans not deferred

right , NCO europe are chasing me for student loans despite me telling SLC that i cant pay what they want me to pay , even tho im offering something , they say they cant accept it , it doesnt cover the interest/charges (which i think is illegal) .

Anyway , the reason is i have a period where my loans werent deferred, due to an alcoholic accountant who didnt send my letter off , it tunred out to be 18 months worth of payments at the full rate .

The 'big' question is can i overturn the undeffered period by proving my wages with a tax return proving my income (which by the way was low due to illness (crohns disease)) .

in essence , the amount i owe shouldnt be as high , and can i stop ALL payments by whatever method .

im quite prepared to go to some length about this , so any comments are welcome .

The student boards are very quite recently. We had a similar issue but the deferment forms were sent and then lost

At the end of it its our fault we didnt send them recorded apparently, we issued a CCA if they dont provide this and you went to uni pre 1997 they cannot persue the debt i dont think

After 2 years of this theyve won, and it looks like they always will. if you have proof of income at that time it might work but chances are it wont.

Sorry pesimistic but Ive had so much conflicting advice on this we are at a point now where we just have to pay.
If you want your charges back you need to claim in the usual manner.

sorry consumer credit agreement, if you ask for it and they dont supply it they cannot persue the debt but SLC are exempt for loans after 1997
