Amin Vs GE (Capital/Money) on a now closed House of Fraser Account ? Possible?

I had a House of Fraser card which use GE.

I only paid off the account about 6 months ago or so, I dont have ANY of the old statements anymore, I either binned them or burned them in my excitement to be rid of them.

Now that my account is closed, can I still file to get late payment and interest charges back from them ? How do I go about it as I guess its different from the regular banks procedures.

Any help is welcomed.

yes you can and its pretty much the same. They still have to provide you with the last 6 years statements if you send a Subject Access Request whether the account is open or closed. Check out the templates link is my signature and make sure you read pleanty of faqs.

I have also got a claim going against 'GE Capital - House of Fraser' & Debenhams . I luckily had my Debs account number but like yourself once I had cleared the accounts I shredded the cards and everything.

However - I found out my House of Fraser account number by firstly calling a Frasers store and asking for the number of GE Capital. I then called GE Capital saying I had 'forgotten my account number could you please help?' I cleared security and she offered up the old account number no problem.

I was very surprised she was able to give me this information so quickly and that nothing flagged up as both my Fraser & Debs accounts were passed to Viking for collection about a year ago and I cleared the balance off around July this year.

Maybe it's worth giving them a call to see if you can get your account number that way as well!
