Preliminary letter sent to IKEA on 14th August requesting the refund of £447.25. Received a "without prejudice" response this morning saying they would have liked the chance to discuss the situation, with a view to an amiable resolution, and offering a 50% refund.

Intend to write back accepting this is as a partial settlement and requesting remainder or else!

Hi!
I called IKEA customer services up and asked them if they could tell me the total of their charges applied to my account over the last six years.
They put me on hold and came back with the figure which was over 500.
I sent out the letter asking for them back but that was a week ago and have heard nothing....
What do u think?

They took about 10 days to respond to me but, if you hear nothing from them within the 14 days timescale that you set, move on to the next step and send the Letter Before Action giving them a further 14 days to pay. Hope this helps and good luck.

LBA sent 24.8.06. Reply received 1.9.06 confirming their ONE AND ONLY OFFER of £233.75 still stands and will not be increased. MCOL to be filed this week.
