Response to settlement offer.
Dear Alison Riley
Thank you for your letter dated 19/06/07.I respectfully decline your offer of £40 Full and final settlement.
I shall be commencing court action on 28/06/07 for the full amount claimed.
I also reject the further conditions of acceptance that you have attached to this offer, namely “ You may have seen media reports that some banks are considering closing certain customers accounts where the customer has complained about bank charges. We would like to re-assure you that this is not our policy and if you do not accept our offer as settlement, we will continue to operate your account. We will do so on the basis that you accept the terms and conditions of your account previously notified to you, and that charges will be applied in accordance with our current charging policy”.
