Has anyone been sent more than 6ys of statements/charge list for a Woolwich Account?
This problem semms to come up repreatedly regarding The Woolwich.
I know it has been established that Barclays do indeed hold account transaction for Barclays accounts well over the 6 years (most posts indicate Barclays admit through various correspondence to retaining 12 years worth of accessible info).
However, Barclays t/a The Woolwich appear to be stating that Woolwich account info is only retained for 6 years maximum. I personally do not find this plausible however I think it would be of massive assistance to Woolwich claimants if we could get some real confirmations posted from Woolwich customers who have applied for, whether through a standard SAR or their own endeavours, statements or a list of charges exceeding 6 years.
Would everyone who has received such, post how they managed to successfully get hold of 6yrs+ charges list? -
Was it through a specific letter they wrote, quoting legistlation?
What initial response did Barclays/Woolwich give in an attempt to mislead them?
Anything that Barclays/Woolwich wrote (post in "" "") when they finally conceded and provided +6yrs - a letter quote that we can quote back to them to force them into providing these charges for current/future claimants?
Re: Has anyone been sent more than 6ys of statements/charge list for a Woolwich Accou
Hi Welshcakes,
I haven't yet heard for definite that Woolwich can't provide me with account details prior to 2000 but I've SAR'd them for 1995 - 2000 and haven't yet had a response (well over 40 days now ).
I don't remember having seen any posts on the forum from anyone who has successfully got details prior to six years? It's very annoying as I know the charges for that period would probably allow me to buy a small country if I claimed them back....
Ho hum....
