I Recently sent a S.A.R to Egg Card (CC) from the Template library.
I have received a letter back along with my cheque (£10)
The letter has 3 options. blah blah
Well i want all my info. but it states on the letter "You'll receive your information within 40 Calender days of Egg's receipt of your request. (Subject to terms and conditions)"
Why are they not processing my original request within the 40 days?
as it seems thay are trying to be in control of the situation again, when i clearly need to be.
and surely they say the 40 days will begin when they receive my responce from this letter, when actually the original request has already lapsed 8 days already!?
Any advise? as this is the only bank i have encountered this situation with before.
Your choice of 3 options is now standard from Egg, as is the request for ID proving address, from this one and only cyber-based card. Egg do not send out monthly statements by post, so would not know even if a cardholder moved house 10 years ago, and the latest house occupant were to try a spot of identity theft.
The £10 full monty involves a stack of paper an inch thick including numerous CICS screen prints. No doubt it costs them a lot of time and money, but this would be your preferred option, or you won't be able to claim accurate Contractual interest at rates fluctuating from month to month.
Egg has gone through a sea change in management and policy, and no longer obstructs or delays. Charges and interest get repaid with amazing speed, faster than any other card or bank. See V-E Day thread for an index and cookbook of successes.
Following not Receiving documents on this matter within the 14 days.
I can confirm you do not have the grounds to Charge me for this service.
You have confused your stories of supplying me with the correct information.
a. Dear James, Thank-you for your e-mail, with regards to the credit card repayment protector, this was set up by you when you opened your credit card with egg. I can confirm when you opened the account you ticked the box online for this to be applied to your account, Regards Helen O`Connor
b. Dear James I can see card repayment protection was applied to your Egg Card on 9th July 2004 following a phone call. Regards Hayley Reynolds
As you can see you say i have taken the credit card protection on 2 seperate occasions.
when i know for a fact, i never would have even taken this service.
they have given me 2 different stories for when this was applied. and on further messages it states they cannot find my call recording on their archive. lol
