Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I need help again. I went to lisburn and laganside court on friday and they both informed me that i need legal representation to defend my case as it is nearly £4K. Has anyone else had this problem???:?
I have just phoned Coleraine court on behalf of hubby and his claim against Cap 1. I have been told that they will accept and stamp civil bill and that he can file this himself. I don't understand why you were not allowed to, there are several members of penaltycharges forum who have successfully used civil bills.
It is my understanding that if you actually need to go to court further down the line, a solicitor has to file the certificate of readiness. Maybe someone with more knowledge will come along and conform, johnspeehs is knowledgeable about filing civil bills.
They need to send their staff on training courses!!! I spent all day friday sorting our all of my paperwork and was sent packing from both courts . I take it your claim is for more than £2K then? Im just totally confused now but im not backing down!!!
I phoned ballymena court there and they said I should get a solicitor but as you said its not required at this stage, they will take and stamp the civil bill for me, do you know if i have to go in person or an i send someone else to the court to lodge it for me? Sorry for tortring you
hi diane
id go myself incase the form needs amending when they check it over for you but i see no reason why someone couldnt do it for you if you cant get yourself. laganside court should def have taken it off you because i know of several ppl they have accepted them from. but then again when i went to do mine ballymena court said they couldnt take mine unless i used a solicitor so there you go.
regards john.
