Default Deal or no deal? Anyone made an early offer to Gnat Pest?

    Hi all,

Spoke to one of Mr Higley's sidekicks who said that, despite the fact I got a response to my Prelim letter (rec. 15 May) saying they'd get back to me within 6 weeks.. my claim was still being considered and they have on file to get back to me by 24 JULY!!!!

Now I know that with my lbaicon deadline up yesterday, it's time now to roll up the shirt sleeves... but I'm also due to have a baby in 3 weeks, have an 18 month old and am quite, quite frazzled.

Considering now to give them a 48 hour extension to agree to a slight drop - currently claiming £3700+. Prepared to do this and not bother with the 8%.

Anyone out there tried this - and did it work?

If you need the money and you think this is the right course for you. Then try as you suggest. There is no harm in trying and i can understand your concerns with a baby due. Tell them this when you contact them. Might get you to the front of the queue. Good luck.

Its your money taken unlawfully from your account and you have a legal right to claim it back.

Thanks for that one - as much as I'm hesitant to take this course (quite frankly, they owe me) and would normally see this through to the bitter end, I've got to be realistic about the time I can put in.

I'm giving them 48 hours to respond on a slight drop in claim but will still put an online claim in if they can't get their act together, no problem!

Still, managed to get my premium 'manager' booted before I closed the account. Generally speaking a total shambles with them!

    Thanks again for the feedback

Well, even the banker couldn't be bothered to come back with a deal...so 'no deal' indeed.

My fax sent Monday am pointed out that I was prepared to take a drop in claim (hence saving them money on claim, legal fees, interesticon and my court fees) IF they responded by 5pm today. But of course they are too smug / daft / disorganised to go for that one.

Filing my N1 this week for the full £3738 plus interest - I'm using my hormones to my full avantage...they were warned.
