Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
How likely is it for Natwest to settle before the court date, or do they go all the way. I was reading a thread for another bank - Barclays - and this person emailed Barclays before thier court date and asked for settlement and got it. As anyone done this with Natwest?
hi mazza would seem your almost there, correct me if im wrong but i believe up to date nat west havent defended a case in court and tend to make an offer at the last minute, so fingers crossed the winning lline is in sight, good luck
Hi personally this close to the court date i wouldnt email them but wait and see what turns up in your mail, still a few days to go, can u smell your money yet? maybe im getting excited but ur almost there, and dont want to jeopodise anything with emails, good luck
If you go to court, make sure you have a copy of Natwest's terms and conditions if they are not in your court bundle, just in case. You might also want to read reka's excellent thread (http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...bey-court.html) if you haven't already - particularly the statement he had prepared for when the bank didn't show up. You probably won't need them but...
You might get chance to ask for wasted costs there and then too.
