Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
A few years ago I had a barclaycard that I used badly, until I completely defaulted. I had a credit limit of 750 and a default of 1250 I was offered a partial settlement of 750 which I took.
I do not wish to claim bank charges as I feel I got a good deal with the partial settlement I just wish to get the default removed from my credit file. as it has seriously impacted on my ability to get credit now.
Can I send a letter to demand the removal of the default completely due to charges making me go over my credit limit and therefore default on this account?
anyone who can help would be very greatful many thanks.
I will be trying this link in a couple of weeks time for a small telecoms dept (£25, which I did not know existed). I have now paid the alleged dept to clear it up.I shall be investigating it ,with a view to having the default removed.
