Default Re: Complain about the litigation behaviour of the bank's solicitors

    Hello
This is my first post so hopefully you will bear with me.
I have filed a complaint against the Halifaxicon online with the small claims court, on behalf of my son who has learning dificulties and does not understand the banks letters on this matter. The halifax has filed a defence which has been transferred to my local court. The defence appears to centre round the fact the the claimant failed to specify the account details, and that the Halifax has no record of the claimant at the addrees of the claim form and is not liable for any sum.
We have correspondence from the Halifax sent to this address , which acknowledges that the bank is aware that I am acting on my sons behalf, and has offered a settlement which was turned down . Altough the sum involved is small, under £300 ,it is a considerable amount to my son. Can any one help with the next steps in the court proceedures.

    Hi Pandrew.

First thing you should do is start your own thread on the Halifax forum.

Find this by going on search at the top were it says user cp and faq then type in Halifax bank and Bank of Scotlandicon . this should bring you on the forum for tha bank then right at the top youll see New Thread just click on that and when it comes up put a title on it Pandrew v Halifax.

You can do all your posting on this then. Youll find that loads of people willing to give you good advice. Were all here for the same thing.

I take it you have sent the SARicon and the lbaicon off. Have theyacknowledged your claim yet. Have yo had anything more off them.

Good Luck and remember your never alone on here.

    Regards

    Hi
Read your thread and just wondered if there was welfare benefits going into the account or not. as there is a forum for claiming charges from welfare benefits and perhaps you could use this info in your son's case.
    good luck
