Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
i have saw the Tonight with trrevor Mcdonald show earlier in the weeka nd today a recieved a 3rd letter in 2 weeks for charges.
i was charged for a not having enoughgt to pay a paypal payment of under a £5
(funny thing was i went £15.99 overdrawn and was not charged cos it was a debit card payment not a direct debit!!!) this charge caused my Sky paymwnt to "bounce" i was £35 overdrawn on monday and forgot to cancel my standing order for £25 that normaly gopes to my own saving account(also with Halifax) so i have been charge £38 for the Sky and £38 for the Standing order.
thats £114 i can hardly afford.
i am going to start next week doubly short.
i dunno if i can claim my money back or not? where do i start?
im at a loss as to what to do if anything
It is very important that you start by spending a few days reading the FAQ's and around the forum. This is so you become very clear on what you are undertaking. You will find a step by step guide and also by reading other peoples threads it will give you an idea of what responses you are likely to recieve from each letter you send.If you have any questions then use the search facility where you will find most have already been answered. If after searching you still have any questions then post them in this thread, also updates to your claim.
please keep us posted.
