    Default 17.9% Interest

    Hi Guys,

    Just wondered if someone could advise.

    I have a Barclaycard and the interesticon rate is 17.9%

    To calculate the interest for the Charges sheet I do

    17.9 / 365 / 100 = 4.90410 then lots of other numbers

    Could anyone suggest where I am going wrong or do I just take the first 6 digits?

    I think so. Rather than the 8% basic Ban Account rate I have to ammend for a Credit card.

    is that correct?

    I have completed two cases for far with compund interesticon.
    However, I am not getting the calculation issue.

    Which has totally thrown me.

    I am at the first stage. I have recieved statements and working out all charges + the x.xx% interest added to each charge at 15.9%

    The Woolwich - Case being held by Court. £1700

    Halifax - Case being held by Court. £800
    Halifax Visa - 1st Request, Awaiting response. £800 + removal of default notice.

    Natwest - LBA - £800.

    Can Anyone advise?

    I have sucsessfully had cases Vs MBNAicon, Natwest, and Capital One, but now having a small issue with interesticon calculation.

    17.9 / 365 / 100 = A extremely high number which doesnt seem correct

    Hello there,

    Sorry just realised my error.

    I am currently claiming back for my Father on his BarclayCard account. Now its not contractual Interest but in fact overdrafticon Interest paid on the charges.

    With a Interest rate of 17.9 I have the current sum:

    17.9 / 365 / 100. At this point I get a number that is not accepted in the Calculation spread sheet.

    I never had this issue with Woolwich, MBNAicon, or Natwesticon and am kind of stumped. Would you bbe able to advise?
