Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi I am a new to all this. Find this side very helpfull with all the threads, but still not quite sure what to do next. Received today Notice of Transfer of Proceedings to my local court in Milton Keynes and also the filing of an allocation questionnaire is dispensed. I understand that I still need to pay £100 fee to the court right? So I am going to give them a ring on monday to find out how to pay them etc. Just confuse now about the waiting procedures, how long to wait till you send a first letter or do I have to wait till somebody contact me first? And also who are DG solicitors?
MR CLARK - if you are with barclaycard - then you really should be on the barclay thread - this is HSBC and a lot of the info - such as the solicitor's names (dg for hsbc) are bank sensitive - so you'd be better served on their thread. if you press this it will take you to the barclaycard thread and you can start your post again there.
you need to check with the local court (mk) and see if the aq fee is payable or not - it differs from court to court.
you need to check on that thread to see if they are sending "nudge" letters to the solicitor or not - again, it differs from bank to bank.
good luck with your claim - feel free to read what i've put on the two aq threads in my signature to help with what goes on during this time period - but again - i'd stress that you check things out on the barclaycard thread as their suggestions may vary from those on this thread.
