I am just about to send off the 1st letter to Barclaycard for the refund of my charges including the Contractual interest at 25% which they have been charging me, I've used the template from here however I added the bit for the Contractual interest, I'm not sure if I have done it correctly or worded it right, here it is, please advise:
What I require I calculate that you have taken £xx.xx plus £xx.xx which you have charged me in interest for the sum which you have taken. Total £xx.xx. I am also claiming & calculate the Contractual interest of £xx.xx at the rate of 25% APR at the monthly rate of 1.87%, the same rate of interest you have been applying on my account. Total sums including the charges & interests £xx.xx. I enclose a schedule of the charges which I am claiming with this letter.
calculate that you have taken £xx.xx plus £xx.xx which you have charged me in interest for the sum which you have taken. Total £xx.xx.
Not sure you include the section in red when you claim contractual interest as by caliming CCI you are claiming that interest back anyway. Really am no expert on this though so other opinions may differ.
Hi,
I am no expert, but I believe you are correct and thats the way I did mine. I will be off to court to submit my N1 come Monday. All the best with your claim.
