Hi this is my first post!! I'm currently re claiming bank charges from the Natwest icon

, for £2900, I have had to take them to court as they didn't acknowledge any of my previous letters. They are denying the whole of my claim, is this usual, or just another tactic???

Hi and welcome to the CAG site.

You've definately taken the first step into claiming back what's rightfully yours.

Spend time reading the FAQ's and the Step by Step guide as this will stop you making mistakes along the way. Use the letters and spreadsheets in the templates library icon

as these have all been tried and tested in successful claims. Read as many threads as you can especially ones that relate to your bank. This is a SELF HELP site and won’t do the work involved for you. However, everything you need is on here somewhere.

Don't be afraid to ask any questions, no matter how stupid they may seem, but please remember that any advice that you receive is normally based on experience only and that you should seek expert advice if required.

Once you start the process of your claim remember to open a thread in the relative bank forum, this will enable you, and others helping you, to keep track of your claim.

Para, when you say you have had to take them to court. Could you post on here exactly where you are in the process. So that we can help you easier. Answer to your question. They will even deny they owe you the money when they pay you out.

Thank you very much for your help, having thought they were going to take it all the way to the death, I have just received an offer letter for the full amount, though not admitting they're in the wrong, obviously, but who cares!!! Yet another win for the consumer action group!!!
