Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
In January this year I booked my flights with BA and My Hotel with Thomsons on line.
I paid for the hotel in full - about £1,080.00 in total.
In March they wrote me a letter saying that my accommodation was no longer available. After speaking with them they told me that the contract had not been renewed with the Hotel - How can they advertise if they havent even confirmed availability with the Hotel!!
Basically they had no other hotels availalbe in the same resort - they offered me something else in a nearby resort but I didnt want to go there. I even asked if they would provide compensation to cover the taxi fares between resorts they were not interested.
So I accepted a full refund and managed to book another Hotel - it's only a small resort so there are not many hotels to choose from.
Basically my alternative accommodation that I have had to arrange is going to cost me an Extra £700 - £750!!!
I could have booked the same apartments I had originally booked with Thomsons via Expedia but they wanted £2,100.00 for the same dates!!!
So all I have done is choose another hotel in the same resort with the same type of room and similar ratings and facilities but costing me an extra £700 - £750.
