Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I can't believe it. I got a lovely letter through the post today saying that they are happy to settle! (didn't know how to amend my title in my old thread so started a new one !)
The details are as follows
Sent for statements in dec 2006 requesting £1500 (Ish)
Sent all letters! offered me £600.
Filed on MCOL (£120)
Court date 20/7
phoned yesterday and spoke to a nice man who asked me to email figures across
Today got letter saying basically refund full amount £1810???
My question is the account that I am reclaiming from is now closed can I ask for it to be payed into my other Barclays account when I fax letter back tomorrow????
Yes you can, if you give them the details or you can ask for a cheque. iF you get a cheque pleas dont cancel the court until the cheque has cleared, as some people have had to wait a week or so for it to arrive and then clear.
