Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi,
I recently (well about 2 months ago) sent Lloyds a SAR for the credit card I had with them. I had only ben making token payments last year and about September las year stopped paying them altogether.
On the last statement they have sent me as part of the SAR (dated 4th October 2006) it gives balance from previous statement (a bit over £2.6K), charge off account (£2.5K), refund of interest (£135), New balance £0.00.
I'm really not sure if this means they have sold the debt (no DCA has been in touch demanding payment). I sent them a CCA request at the same time as the SAR, don't know if that's in any way relevant.
Yep, I'd go with the sold off idea here.
Looks very similar to my old Cap1 account which had the same transactions on it.
Took ages before the DCA, Lowells, contacted me over the debt.
